Terry Kilgore

A life-long native of Scott County, Virginia, Terry Kilgore graduated from Clinch Valley College—now UVA Wise—in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He later earned his law degree from The William & Mary Marshall Wythe School of Law in 1986. His legal career includes serving as the elected Commonwealth’s Attorney for Scott County from 1988 to 1994, after which he established the Kilgore Law Office in 1994, and still presently practices. 

Terry is currently serving his 16th term as Delegate for Virginia's 45th Legislative District, which includes Lee, Scott, Wise, the City of Norton and part of Dickenson County. In this capacity, he serves on three standing committees: Courts of Justice, Commerce & Energy, and Rules. Terry is the second highest ranking member in the Virginia House of Delegates.
